Empowering the Next Generation Through Art, Voice, and Collective Leadership
Our Story
Integration 101 HUB began with a clear vision:
To close the access and inclusion gaps experienced by many racialized and first-generation youth in Canada. Not through charity but through creativity, connection, and leadership.
As young community leaders, we recognized early on that while resources existed, they weren’t always accessible or responsive to the realities of diverse youth. We saw the need for culturally grounded programs that build confidence, expand opportunity, and center lived experience.
In 2023, we launched Integration 101, a grassroots initiative focused on youth from Black, Indigenous, and racialized backgrounds. Over time, our focus expanded. Through deep listening and community learning, we recognized that the greatest challenge wasn’t just access , it was disconnection. Disconnection between communities, institutions, and generations.
That insight gave rise to Integration 101 HUB an inclusive platform where young people from all backgrounds come together to learn, co-create, and lead. We use art, storytelling, and community-building to cultivate leadership that reimagines what inclusion, equity, and connection can look like.
Our Impact (Since 2023)
- 1,000+ individuals engaged through media projects, workshops, public events, and storytelling initiatives
- 30+ community and institutional partners collaborating on outreach and program delivery
- 6 signature exhibitions launched across Ottawa-Gatineau
Our programs have contributed to:
- Increased confidence, public speaking, and creative skills
- Clearer pathways to employment in digital media and creative industries
- Greater visibility and leadership among underrepresented youth voices
